Vocational education is known as career education or techn ical education. It is training for a specific vocation in industry or agriculture or trade.This training emphasizes on skills and knowledge required for a particular job function. Knowing that vocational training was of greater relevance for rural students,it was decided by SERCT that in addition to formal education curriculum, the school must conduct skill development programs for students in home science and computers. Vocational training is a key to improve employability and income-earning opportunities for women and for enhancing sustainable rural development and livelihoods. Self awareness is the thinking skill that focuses on a child’s ability to accurately judge their own performance and behavior and to respond appropriately to different social situation.
